Brian DeAmicis received an undergraduate degree in journalism from the University of California, Berkeley in 1973. He not only saw a need for dedicated lawyers but was attracted to the idea of gaining a wide variety of experience and being challenged. In 1976, he graduated from Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago.
Upon graduation, he got his first job working with a senior citizens program out of the USC Andrus Gerontology Center where he helped provide senior citizen legal services pertaining to housing, public benefits and uninsured motorists. He then became the director of the senior legal advocacy program at the Sonoma County Council on Aging.
He also spent two years as a managing attorney for Hyatt Legal in San Jose before moving to Sacramento open his own office in 1984. He has a broad range of experience in: legal projects, public housing, divorce, probate, bankruptcy, criminal, divorce, litigation and probate law.
